can anyone recommend mounting plate and switches to use in a 97 TJ for installation of my KC lites. I do not want to use the factory switches.

Usually KC includes harness and switches with their lights. If not, try Daystar, they offer a mounting base that replaces one of the air outlets, and they also sell the switches for a nice OEM appearance. http://www.quadratec.com/products/12500_210X_A_PG.htm

+1 on the Daystars. I've got 2 of em in my rig for my compressor and both air lockers. Even have a spare switch for use at a later date. I'll snap a pic and ammend the post.
