Need help with TJ rear bumper install

Hey guys. I bought front and rear Rugged Ridge tube bumpers. The front was a snap, but the rear has me puzzled. The instructions are clear as mud, but it looks like they want me to drill holes and put bolts where there is no way to put a nut on the other side due to the gas tank being there. If you've installed one, please let me know.

I put on a shi$#ybuilt oops I mean smittybuilt rear bumper. Not the same as yours but I bet the location of the bolts is the same. Drop the fuel tank down to drill the holes & install the bolts.

Yep, I've heard of others having to drop the tank to get the bolt in or to drill holes, not cool

You don't have to drop the tank. Get the nuts up in there and started on the bolts with your fingers then use either your medium depth socket straight on your ratchet, or a universal/ wobble socket on an extension.

I pulled 4 nuts off of the back of the tank and it dropped down some, but not enough for me to get my hand, much less tools in there. That is an absolutely retarded design! Thanks for the help!
