Need more lift!

Right now I have a 3" suspension lift on my 06 TJ. If I add a 2" coil spacer lift, will I have to do any more modifications to the jeep? Or is the mods with the 3" suspension enough?

It doesn't matter what your goals are. Adding 2 inch coil spacers on top of your 3 inch springs, not only will require you to add lots of parts = lots of money. but also is not a good idea. Coil bind. look it up.

you are gona need longer shocks, change in bumpstops, sye/cv/control arms if you don't have it all already, and longer brake lines for sure if you haven't got them yet. There are probably a few more things.

^this very sound advice.

Why do you NEED more lift? To fit bigger tires?

Ok let's start over. I bought this jeep about 5 months ago. I was told it was a 3 or 4" lift on it. The t-case is dropped and all that good stuff, but honestly I can't tell what size lift it is. Guess I need to figure that out first. How can I figure that out?

pics would help... also... you can take the numbers off the shocks ( if they are in fact the right shocks) and cross reference the numbers to see what lift the coincide with for a TJ.

I would NOT stack a 2" spacer on any lift spring as stated above.

Find out what you have... order what you want... BUT RESEARCH ALL THE INFO YOU CAN BEFORE YOU JUMP.... lots of money involved and it shouldn't be wasted....

What you need to do is lose those flares. They're eating up valuable clearance. Without those, you've got room for 35's as it sits. Unfortunately for you, 35's are easy to fit and not so easily to reliably run. Do some research and learn.

Also, why are you wanting to run 35's? There are countless improvements you could make on the current platform without going up in tire size.

Once again good advice.

Unless your running some crazy trails you can build an awesome and extremely capable rig on 33s.

The reason I want to run 35's is that I just wanted a little more clearance for axles. I don't do any rock crawling, just playing in mud and such. I've been doing research, but there's so many ways you can go, its kinda overwhelming! lol I don't need to go overboard on anything, but I do want a nice solid rig. As it stands now its great. But it could always be better!!!
