I don't know if you're set on that style, but you might give this guy some consideration.

Thats just a bumper alone, but he is pretty fair on his complete carrier/bumper sets. Pretty impressive builds. I've had one, and know of others that have bought from him. His customer service is as good awesome as well.

I had the bestop tire carrier. For the price its not bad. Only issue I had with it, and this could be different now, was getting the tire on and off, the design of that part just needed a bit more design work. Other than that I never had an issue with it. I just had the stock bumper below it.

If you get one of them fancy bumpers make sure it has a frame tie in kit, nothing like going to pull somebody and your bumper is on the ground

bumpers

those Smittybuilt bumpers look minimal don't you think? I understand what you mean by getting a bumper first and then a tire carrier later. I went that way with Warn.

I have the smittybuilt (now RRC) rear bumper that I've customized to attach to a frame mounted hitch and I'm extending the tubes around to attach to the frame. For a tire carrier, I went with the OR Fab. It came highly recommended ( do a search on "tire carriers" and you'll see more threads than you'll care to read). The lines of the two different products go together well. I'll try to take better pictures tonight.

In the mean time, here's a pic that shows both:

That price listed in the link I posted is just for a bumper I believe, but his combo price is not bad at all when compared to the major brands. He has really updated the combo a lot since I got mine, and from what I can tell, only for the better. He really does quality work.

i clicked on the link below the bumper you posted and it went to one with a tire carrier that could be set up to hold two jerrys and a hi lift for a lil over 400, great price compared to competitors
