Need opinions

I can't decide what I want to do as my next mod. I have a few choices I'd like to do : 1. Put in HIDs 2. Put in new coils and 3/4 inch spacer up front 3. Get offroad lights and mount on my bumper or windshield.

HIDS and windshield lights are a waste of money in my opinion, unless you're really into aesthetics.

Why are windshield lights no good? I'm about to pull the trigger on PIAA 520 ATPs on the windshield pillars with PIAA 525 Hi/Lows on the bumper.

I would suggest the HID's and the bumper mounted lights. I put bumper mounted lights on my TJ about 4 months ago and I am very happy. Lighting has the most functional purpose because it seems to me that most of my driving is on the black. I don't go off road nearly as much as I would like to... so to me HID's and bumper mounted lights have the most practical functional purpose...

By the way... where did you see those HID's? Link?

Windshield lights produce far to much glare off the hood, an tend to get snagged on the trail. HIDS are obnoxious to other drivers, and to me, don't provide a good cost to benefit ratio.

Just my opinion. If you find them useful, by all means install them.

My KC Daylighters don't produce ANY noticeable glare off my hood. Driving type lights with a broader beam pattern could cause glare.

If you drive a lot at night or have tired old eyes at night, headlight upgrades, fog lights, and driving lights are a huge help. Of course Daylighters or Off-road lights aren't legal to use on pavement.

When I first got my '06 Wrangler, I absolutely hated driving it at twilight and nighttime. For 53 year old eyes, I have very good 20/15 vision. But, I work on computers all day long and my eyes are very tired toward dusk. The first mod I did on my Jeep was driving lights. My PIAA 520 Ion Crystal driving lights were a huge help, but since they're tied into my high beams, only helped when no other traffic was around. My next upgrade was my H4 Conversions. This was a huge improvement over the old stock lights ON MY Jeep. I recently added PIAA 520 Fogs which really help my low beams. My Daylighters are for off-roading and providing light on distant subjects.

I am not really on a set budget but don't wanna spend an outrageous amount of money ... But how hard is it to install HIDs? Ive seen a lot of people have them... Are they worth the money?

I have to disagree there. Why would upgrading visibility be a waste of money? I assume you haven't upgraded to them. windshield lights glare too much but hids are a good investment.
