Exclamation Need opinions on top decision.

Greetings jeepers, I have 97 wrangler with hardtop and I'm really wanting to keep my top off as much as possible since it's summer. Only times I intend on having the top on are when it rains or overnight. I'm pressed for cash and was thinking my best bet at this time would be to get an emergency top from ER and put it on when needed. I don't intend to drive a lot with the emergency top on. I have a used soft top frame but it's missing bow brackets and the cost of buying a replacement top and hassle of taking it off as much as I want to wouldn't be worth it right now. What's your opinions on this? ANY advice is greatly appreciated.

Have you considered a bikini top? The key is to keep your dash dry and front seats dry. Just remove the rear seat and all carpet incl using the drain plugs.

I ran my YJ this way for years while I resided in Charlotte without any problems.

I would consider the bikini or a safari top with a tonneau cover.

when I first bought my Jeep it came with a hard top and I bought a used bikini & tonneau cover because I couldn't spend the money on a soft top at the time. I really enjoyed the look on the Jeep and have thought about going back to that combo.

I've thought about the bikini top option but keeping the rear bench is a must for me.

Yep, I'm running this combo now and love it! It doesn't take long to get the cover on and off after a few times, and you can just fold your rear seat down and put the cover overtop of it
