Need opinions. Possible first jeep

Looking to purchase my first jeep. Just a weekender, not a Daily driver by any means. Still want something reliable. Im looking in the $4k or less range. Check out the below Craigslist ad. I'd like to get as new as possible and prefer the 4.0L. Is this worth my time with the rust and salvage title? Im told it was a light roll over years ago and everything was repaired properly. How big of an issue is this, and how involved is repairing the rust. Would assume the grille would need replaced.

Rust is WAY more of a PITA than its worth. That one looks like its in rough shape. Keep looking.

How bout this one

How bout this one... Anything specific I should be looking out for or paying special attention too? And can you confirm that the '91, 4.0L is fuel injected?

Looks like it's already sold. I agree that you should pass on the rusted TJ. Just FYI, that 91 is a YJ. The TJ's are from '97-'06. I would stick with the TJ's for better ride quality, cheaper/availability of parts, and the round headlights, to name a few.

Agreed, the OPs range is 4k or less however. Not sure how clean of a TJ he is expecting to find, especially with the 4.0L. I would expand your budget or look at YJs.
