Need opinions... QUICK!!!!!

I'm about to hit send on my order cart for a 3.5" RE standard lift kit. I'm trying to choose between RE monotube shocks and OME shocks.

The jeep is my daily commuter (67 miles round trip), and I ride the trails when I can.

Also getting Nitto Dune Grapplers. Any opinions on those?

OME shocks...
Depending on trails in your area, dont waste the time or money for the Dune Grapplers, there's better tires out there then that.

Both are very good quality shocks. The RE Monotubes (which have a lifetime warranty) ride well on the street, are what I run, and they work very well offroad. The OME shocks have a great reputation for their street ride, I'm not so sure if they are as good as the REs are offroad though.

So if it's primarily for the street, the OME might give you a little better ride but not significantly. I'm happy with my RE Monotubes both onroad and offroad but I won't vote on this because I don't really know how important street vs. offroad use is to you.

I know nothing about Dune Grapplers.
When you have a choice, buy American.

I vote RE just to be different, i also have a few buddies who have RE kits with the mono tubes and they love the ride.

I also voted for the RE . . . didn't know about the lifetime warranty, which is a big plus, but if for no other reason, I'd pick the RE's over the OME's simply due to the fact that they aren't YELLOW . . . yuk!!! OME has a great reputation for being very nice and smooth on-road . . . which to me translates as soft . . . I didn't buy the Jeep for it's on-road manners to begin with so I'd rather go with something that might be a bit rougher on-road, but better off.

Thanks for the opinions folks. It's official. I just bought the RE 3.5 standard kit with the extended travel OME shocks. As for the tires, I found a great price on BFG ATs, so I went with those to mount on some new Dick Cepek DC-1's.

Now the waiting game begins.....
