Question Need some help, water pump question

I have a question about my rubicon. I walked into a store today and when I came out I found a puddle under the jeep, luckily I was a mile or two down the road from the house so I ran home right quick and parked it.Well then it stopped leaking,I pulled it in the garage, parked it,started it up and let it run for a bit, well no leaks,so I decided I would drive it. My wife and I pulled out of the driveway and I just got to thinking to look, sure enough it was leaking all over the place.
It looks like it is coming out of the oil pan,so I'm sure it is the water pump but I want someone to confirm my suspicions. Does this sound about right?
I just got this jeep less than a week ago,and they gave me a 30 day powertrain warranty on it so I was going to take it to the dealership on monday, just want to make sure that I know whats going on before I get there.
Thanks for any help

It's probably leaking through the water pump's weep hole which indicates its packing (internal seal) has gone bad.

Could very well be. Pump sits at the front of the block, and if it's leaking out of the weep hole it would run down the block and onto the oil pan before dropping to the ground.

Unless the dealership is real close by. I'd be on the phone to them tomorrow.
Let em know it's puking fluid and would they like to pick up the jeep and drop off a loaner for you.

You drive it and do more damage because of it they could waive any additional repairs other then the pump. You'd get stuck with the rest.

Wifey got a compact? Make up thing with a mirror on it. She'll know what you are talking about. Take it and a flashlight and use the mirror in it to look at the bottom of the pump. You should see the hole in the bottom of the pump, close to the pulley, that's the weep hole.
If it's all wet around there your pump when south.

Hey guys, thanks for the help. The dealership isnt too far away. I am going to call today, someone is susposed to have the gate open in order for me to drop it off and get it fixed. I have thought about doing it myself just so that I dont have to deal with the dealership but maybe it will all work out.I guess we"ll see tomorrow.

Well, heres an update on my jeep. They replaced the water pump today and then they called me and told me that it was still leaking, radiator. He said he would get that put on tomorrow. All this at no charge to me. Im glad it happened now instead of 6 mths down the road though. Right now its not costing me,but later on it would have.
