I just hand tighten a nut on the bottom and it holds mine in place.

I had to put one washer on first, before putting 'em on. This way there is a "flat" top surface. There should be a lip on it for a washer. Then put 'em through, put another washer on the bottom and tighten 'em down.

I had just enough room with the two washers to get the nut about 4-5 threads on there.

Good thing you didn't lose your nuts. Nothing worse

I hope the Jeep mirrors are not on the Harley. I think you should switch them back around.

I occasionally work in a custom bike shop. The other day I remembered this and checked on mirrors.the second ones looked more like mini truck mirrors,if you turned them. The skull ones looked cool to me.

How much were those Harley mirrors? I have been thinking about buying a pair. I have the mirror movers that are kind of a pita.

Cutting the threaded ends down might make them look a little cleaner.
Just a suggestion.

I used the tapered spacer and cap nut that came with my mirrors along with a thick oversized stainless nut that just slipped over the threaded stem all on the threaded end. Note, this nut was large enough so that it didn't thread but instead acted as a thick washer and just slid in place. They didn't move at 65 MPH today. Love the clean look of the stainless oversize nut.

We are going to have a few days here in Ohio where the doors and top will see no action and with the addition of these mirrors I am now officially legal. And they look pretty nice as well. Can't beat the price compared to the relocation brackets etc. that you will need if you go that rout. $20.00 out the door for the Harley mirrors. Go and get cha some!!
