Need Suggestions for Lift Kit

So i just purchased a 2006 TJ this past weekend and am currently doing a lot of reading on which kit to buy. This Jeep will be mostly for daily driving (unfortunatly), but i still want to lift it up and have it feel good on the road/highway. I dont need the kit to be all that "flexy" and am looking for something that will LAST. I was thinking between a 3"-4" kit.

Any suggestions? I read a couple of the posts on the TJ Lift kits sticky, but was wondering if anyone else had any comments.

I am kind of leaning towards a Rubicon Express 3.5" kit at the moment.

OME with a small body lift and MML. Great place to start getting you at least 3.25 inches of lift but not too much requiring further drive line mods and will ride great on and off the road.

I have a 3" bds lift and I love it mines mostly a dd and its pretty good on the highway once everything breaks in

It was easy to install myself. My only recomendation with this lift is when you go to order it do the shock upgrade cause it is slightly rough but nothing crazy bad.

1. What is your budget including installation if you are not doing it yourself?

2. What are you planning to do with your Jeep, all street or off-road and what kind of off road?

3. What size tires do you have or plan on getting?

I'd suggest keeping it 3" or less for comfortable/dependable DD duty. Unless you have a huge budget, then the sky's the limit.

1) Looking at around $1,500-$2k

2) Moderate off-roading including mudding and trail riding (no rock crawling)

3) 33x12.5's

Was thinking between a RC 4" lift (quoted at $1,550 OTD fully installed w/ nitros AND steering stabilizer) or a RE 3.5" lift (quoted at $1,850 w/ twin tubes BUT w/o the steering stabilizer

What do you guys think?

I suggest the Savvy 3" JJ with AntiRock. Money well spent Go to their site and look around. They have a vid on the quality of ride. I myself am going to go with that lift with Under Armorand Metal Cloak fenders. Lots of flex and good on-road performance. It will allow me to do all the trails I want and still ride excellent on the road. I will eventually get my shocks mounted outboard but I need to get to San Diego first before I try that mod.

2.5" OME with an additional 1" body lift...if needed.

If you go 3-4"......
Don't forget the cost of a SYE kit and CV driveshaft. Plus installation fees if your not ready to tear open your transfercase on your own.
