Need thoughts. 05 Rubi LJ

Well I have been on the search for a LJ and stumbled across a 05 rubicon LJ for 13,999 BUT it has 158,0xx miles. I feel that is a bit over price due to miles, which I am not too concerned about.

The information I do know besides what is on the site is that it was the bosses jeep and he got a jku (reason for selling) this is at a dealership. rust free everything works they said 1inch BB but looks like 2 inch to me (i was talking to the worker not the boss) comes with soft top and not to worried about OPDA because the miles are so high but I will look into it for sure. lockers work has winch and aftermarket tire carrier besides that it is stock inside looks good.

SO..I am looking for your guys & girls thoughts and price thoughts I live in MN so rust free is great. also most LJ's here sell for 16k+ from dealers and private parties.

Buy it! That is the same as mine and I love it. Going from a 02 tj to a 06 LJ rubicon was a night and day difference in offroad capability (lockers and 4:1) and usability with all the extra space.

Any 04-06 Unlimited LJ let alone a "Rubicon" will have a higher resale value for what it is due to the rarity! I say you buy it I have yet to find something negative to say about my 05 LJ Rubi

yeah, one has an extra gear! It's nice because 1st is low and 6th can be used as OD. I run 35s on this setup with the stock 410s and its totally fine. I wouldn't regear if it was free.

Put 12.5 cash on the table and see if he bites. I think 14 is a bit high, 12.5 to 13 sounds more in line for the miles.

I recently bought mine for $13,488 from a dealer.
Mine is an 05' Rubicon Sahara with 138,000 miles; 6 speed; stock (no lift) ; soft top only.

My vote would be to look at it, in it, and under it.... start there and see what is the best price you can get it for.

buy it... no Rubi's when I was looking and had to do my own Rubi upgrades.. I paid more than that a year ago for my 05 LJ with 80K on the clock.
