Need to figure out if my TJ is lifted

Newbie here and I feel a need to demonstrate my newbieness. Just purchased a 2000 that is running 33 X (I think) 10.50's. It does rub on the inside when cranked to full turn but years of running lowered hot rods makes me a bit immune to the sound. Most of the charts I see show running 33's with a 1.5 to 2" lift but how do I tell if it's already lifted? What am I looking for that will be different than stock. I have nothing to compare it to so not sure what's what.

Don't look like you have much room at all so I can't tell if you do or dont. Don't know why anyone would put 33's on a stock height tho...

pics of suspension. its got at least a budjet lift on it to even fit a 33" tire.

I dunno for sure but even with its 33" tires, I don't think it's lifted. Whatever, it needs more clearance from a suspension lift for those tires as they are definitely rubbing.

Thanks to all for answers so far, off to the Dr.'s office, when I return I'll pull a wheel off and shoot some suspension photos perhaps that will help.

My guess is no lift at all. Those tires fill the wheel well pretty full. You need some lift for that size of tire. 3-4" will do fine.

Talking about the previous owner....why would you install 33's on a stock suspension.

Because he wasn't experienced with Jeeps and someone told him 'yeah they'll fit'. That happens a lot, people just don't know any better. Why would they know not to if they're not experienced?

Now, now guys. There is no excuse for installing tires that size on a unlifted jeep. Most of us know that. But we are also dealing with commoners too. Take it in stride, please. The Laredo I am driving was traveled behind a RV and the miles are high, the people never disengaged the axles so the the OD shows 147,000 and the thing is tits.

That's not nearly enough lift for 33's. You should have a 4" suspension or a 2" suspension + a 1" body lift on a TJ with 33s. My guess is either no lift or a 2" BB with saggy springs.

Just trying to calm things down a bit. No need for extra shiz in the biz..
I have wheeled for some time now and I am sure you have also. But the reality is we are on a site that others that are not as trail ready/friendly as we are.
The first time we had confrontation, I thought you were someone trying to put my jeep on CG for sale (crook). You called me out. You are all good to me now. The problem with typing out what you feel is not the same as saying what you feel. There is no feeling in the type like there is in talking to someone face to face. I hate that, and people tend to miss read me. I try to keep it real, bro. Don't get discouraged and keep on truckin' on, or jeepin' on... your all right in my book.

Heck I was just kidding Levinoss, I didn't put the 33's on it so it didn't bother me. If I've read correctly 2000TJ's came with 31's as an option, but by the same token most charts show that it must be lifted to run 33's. The day I purchased it I drove it from Ft.Worth to Oklahoma City without a problem. From looking the 33's have rubbed on the sway bar but it didn't do it to me yet. I've looked over the upper and lower front spring mounts. The bottom doesn't seem to be altered at all, the top has a black hard rubber piece between the top of the spring and the metal but it looks stock also. I'll try to get some pictures posted. I spent today adding wiring and a towing base plate for hauling it behind an RV.

Maybe there's something I don't understand. If you put the trans and transfer case in neutral the odometer should not register miles, right??
