Need to replace rear shocks

The rubber bushing on my rear shocks has gone out and now they are knocking. I have old man emu shocks and i like the ride. But I don't know if I want to spend $89 each to replace the 2 rear shocks. Does anyone know what the rancho shocks are like from Oreileys? They run about $58 each. Will I notice a difference in ride quality?

You can't just replace the bushings?

Do you homework and read the reviews on the shocks before you throw your money away.

I don't think so. But i don't know where to find replacement bushings. The bushings seperated (squeezed out each side) at the top end of the shock. There is a metal keeper that goes through the rubber bushing. The bushing slipped out of each side of the shock eyelet and slid to the far edge of the metal keeper where they (bushings) stopped up against the bolts that fasten the shock to the jeep frame.

Bilstein 5100s are good. Lots of good reviews. I installed some on mine and love them. Upgraded my suspension and only kept my front two. If you want good shocks I think the extra $30 are worth it. I have my rear two Bilsteins for sale if you end up looking for some.

Try DPGOffroad that sell OME lifts. As much referrals as WF gives them, maybe they can hook you up with the bushings. The only Ranchos I would recommend that would be equal or better than the OME shocks are the adjustable Ranchos RS9000XL's, I wouldn't bother with the lower end RS5000 series. I would consider Bigkidneys Bilsteins offer if it's the right length, depending on lift.

Will do tomorrow. I think it's more than 4in right now. Daughter Ran into the rear last weekend so without the spare on the carrier it sits even higher!
