needing some help on 00 Sport

i have recently bought a 00 sport the pics i have are the way i bought it seems like a 2" bl and 33x12.5 tires. has a new top on it as well. but am having some trouble with my door locks mainly in the morning when its cold. the key goes in but wont turn to unlock the door? they are soft doors does any one have any ideas? maybe just needs to be taken apart and cleaned? also i have no way of knowing if it has the D44 rear axle? it has no locker switch on the dash, how do you know if it has the D44 axle and also how does the 4wd work in the jeep? i know how to engage and disengage everything but wanting to know what the part time light and full time light on the dash means? the part time stays on is the full time only for if you have lockers? any help is appreciated

The locks probably need cleaned and oiled
The 4 wd is pretty straight forward pull up one notch to 4hi second notch is neutral and the third is 4lo. You will most likely only use 4lo off rd, and 4hi should not be used on dry road. Not sure about the full time / part time tho

With the locks...moisture can be a pain. Can freeze and not let you unlock. Just spray some PB blaster in there and should clean/lube it up a bit.

The mirror....sounds like you have Mirrorr movers. These move your factory mirror off of the door and up to the windshield bracket. They are used to keep your jeep Legal when you remove the doors. (keeps mirror on jeep).

Not being able to actually use the pass mirror with mirror movers are common. Fix...put the mirror back on the door. Sorry...but thats it.

I didnt see anyone answer this. But about the part time and full time. Our jeeps only have part time mean part time use as was stated above dont use on dry or even wet streets. the dash was used in the cherokee's as well and they had a full time option allowing them to use 4wd all the time. thats why you have a place for Full time to light up but our jeeps dont have full time just part time

You rear could have a limited slip...but most likely its an open, unless someone installed a locker at some point. You would only have switches if it were a selectable locker like ARB

As for the mirror mounts on the door the upper door hinge should have 3 holes that for the bolts that hold the mirror on
I just looked at your pics again and you would need new mirrors. The part that mounts to the door was removed to mount the mirror to the windshield bracket

Heres what the different diffs look like. Not all sports have a D44. They either had a D35 or D44 the D44 was an upgrade option. If you have a limited slip its probable gone like mine. look on the diff cover and there should be two tags if it has a limited slip. one tag on the driver side saying your gear ratio and another tag on the passenger side saying something like "use limited slip diff oil only" or something like that.

thanks for the pic and help. mine has the D44 or atleast looks just like the one pictured and it does have the tag saying use limited slip diff oil only. but the other tag saying gearing is not there. but i thought the D44 comes with locker? i guess on the sport model they can come w/o the locker?
