New '03 Sahara Owner w/?'s

I recently purchased an '03 Sahara and have a few questions/issues. It did not come with an owners manual.

1- Is there a way to adjust the dash light brightness?
2- The reverse lights do not work. I have replaced the bulbs.
3- How do you open the cover for the hood light?
4- After sitting for a while, there is some clicking in the engine for a few seconds.

Thanks for any help.

1) on your year you can adjust the dash light brightness on the stalk with the light controls on the left side. There should be a little symbol and a little thing you move up and down. Id take a pic but it's different on my 98, that's how to adjust it for my friends lj rubi though.

1 eagle223 is correct
2 manual or auto? could be the switch.
3. should just pop off...carefully
4. ticking? how many miles on the engine?

You should be able to get an owner's manual downloaded from Jeep.

You can get a service manual link here if you search or ask in a thread title usually.

Found the dash dimmer. (I feel stoopid) Thanks!

It has 110,00 on it.

It is a manual.

Well I've got 3 of the issues resolved.

Used a small screwdriver to pop off the cover on the engine light and replaced.
Found the dimmer switch.
Replaced the reverse switch and now have back up lights.

Still have the clicking at start up after it has been sitting a good while.

Thanks for all the help.
