Welcome to the WF. I have an 03 wrangler X which is pretty much the same as yours. Your Jeep has the 4.0 I6 which is a rock solid motor. If it's taken care of, it will last you a very long time. We have the D35 in it for a rear end. It all depends on how you use your jeep if this is good or bad ( matter of opinion). My jeep is completely stock and is only used for mild off roading, it's also my daily driver. The D35 is just fine for me. I have no intentions of upgrading the rear end. If you plan on putting on a lift and large tires you may need to upgrade to a D44. Especially if you do allot of hard off roading. I think owning a jeep is all pros, it's what you do with it if you consider it to have any cons.

The D35 is the (Dana 35) rearend. It comes standard on the SE, X, Sport, and Sahara. The D44 or (Dana 44) rearend is much stronger, and is standard on the Rubicon, It is optional on the Sport, and Sahara.
