new 2002 Wrangler SE owner... few questions

I just purchased a 2002 Wrangler SE.
Automatic
4 cyl
COLD air
I have a few questions;
Top -
It currently has a black soft top and 1/2 doors - The widows get zipped and then fold down.
The previous owner believes that it is the original top that came with the Jeep when new.

I think that I would like to have full doors that will roll down, and also that could be taken off easily and a hard top (black). The hard top for Winter usage.
I also think that I may want a soft top (black) that would fit on the full doors for summer trips when it might rain.

So I'm guessing that I would be selling the 1/2 doors and soft top all together?

Again, I am a complete newbie here.....
any and all advise is welcome.

Thanks in advance!

There are lots of combinations to choose from. Half door are great for when the top is off, but Full doors are great year round.

Quadratic had a good comparison of options:

That soft top should fit full or half doors. If you can find someone with the same soft top that's willing to swap their full doors for your half doors (that will match their top) then that would be ideal. Then you would just need to find a hard top. Some people love full doors, some people love half doors. I loved my half doors on my last jeep as long as the top was off, but during the winter or any time the top was on I hated the half doors. Thus, full doors was a requirement on my current jeep!

Thanks for the replies
To; I-Want-A-Jeep - assuming that my soft top is a factory item, I should be able to unzip my windows and take them completely out and then take off the 1/2 doors, and then full doors would go on and "should" close and fit up to the soft top?
THanks!

Yes I believe so. With a soft top there is a plastic surround that follows the contour of the upper rear portion of the half or full door. A hard top has that surround piece built in so I think both full and half doors will each fit both soft and hard tops (soft requiring that surround).

Soft top requires door surrounds, hard top does not.
