New Back Up Lights

Just got some new 3.5 inch round lights, decided to mount them on or in my rear bumper.

After messing around with them some I mounted them on top using the milk jug holes.....for now.

Has anyone used a holesaw to cut holes and put lights inside the stock bumper?

There's a thread here somewhere where someone used a hole saw to put lights inside the front bumper, but I can't find it again. I'll be watching to see what responses you get, I want to do the same thing so I can see the boat/trailer in the dark.

They don't look bad mounted on top but I really want them in the bumper. It'll give it an after market look

I've been wanting to upgrade my reverse lights for a long time now. I'm pretty sure I saw that post were someone put lights into their stock rear bumper but I can't find it either. I am going to try installing these:

They are 3W LEDs that are waterproof with a black billet aluminum housing. They only cost $3.99 with free shipping so they are worth trying. At first I'm going to just tape them to the top of the bumper and while I'm in the Jeep get my buddy to hook them to a battery just to see how bright they are....I'll let you guys know.

I just mounted a set of cat's eye type led lights in my bumper. You can see what I did in by rebuild thread here.

I have been really happy with them so far. I went with a bit different light from Amazon but the same idea.

Yours are nearly just like the ones I got except mine are rated at 3W and yours are 4W. I read where you tried waterproofing them....mine came sealed with silicon in the bolt end and they say weather resistant. I wondered how they would look...not too bad, anything for more reverse light. Thanks for the link.
