New corner armor (Full)

So one of my buddies has access to a water jet and Hooked me up with a set of tub armor! Just installed it with my flat LEDS too! What do you think? They are powdercoated (nearly .25) cold rolled steel, with a top layer of bedliner, all stainless hardware. I swear they are so thick it might stop a simi-large bullet!
Whatcha think?

Those were my exact two thoughts; it looks really nice, and I bet it's really heavy.

Looks real good but I would fill in black around the hinges. Looks a little off with the red space on the right side compared to the left but awesome over all

I don't really know how I feel about them. They are great to cover some rust for sure. I like to stay close to stock look. I mean I love my jeep wouldn't touch the body just tires and lift.

Do they make armor for the front? I'd like to keep the flares but match the armor up front

X2 that they look like smittybilt xrc corner armor, which I have, including the stainless hardware, mounting holes for flares, the notch for the sliders (which I cut straight since I have custom sliders).

A lot of people don't like Smittybilt, but my experience has been positive, and mine have held up very well to hard wheeling over the last 2-3 years. I've also got their tube fenders; mine are flare-less, but you can get a 3" flare, and it all matches.

I think the guy who made em modeled it after the smittybilt but they are not smittybilt. I watched him water jet em

They look awesome, don't sound like that is too ridiculously heavy. I like the gap that shows some paint, makes them a bit different. LED lights look good too.

It is nice having armor such as this and you don't have to worry about damaging your body. The nice thing about that type of finish is that it can easily be touched up with rattle can and/or spray-on bedliner.

they've got to be more than 20lbs each. Standard no-flare 3/16" TJ steel full corners are about 25-27 lbs each....at 1/4", they should be closer 34-35 lbs each.

Either way it weighs less than all the junk I removed from the back seat area. No seat, belts, brackets or anything back there now

How do you like the plastic type fender flares??? Are they Xenon or Bushwacker? I love the led back lights, WHat about the tag light? and what brand of Led lights did you get?

Too bad they don't mount under the tailgate hinges. You lose a lot of strength there.

And yeah, they probably weight around 36#. Don't get too carried away with thick steel armor or you'll end up with a fat, lethargic pig.

The LEDs are simple $10 harbor freight, and the bushwackers look good. Haven't abused them yet

The heavy pig remarks are making me regret my decision on buying the Rokmen rocker guards and trail corners...
