New door strap

Mines been broken for years so I took it off and made a temp.

Nice! Paracord works much better and will last longer. I made this one in about 3 minutes since I threw a cobra braid on it, but just a loop works too.

Yep, did the same thing with paracord with leftovers from the paracord grabhandles. One thing to note is that make sure you melt the ends together really well on the main loop. These take a lot of stress and one of mine came apart but still an easy fix.

Mine just has a knot, plus that way I could adjust the OAL to control how far I wanted the door to be able to swing open.

Yep, I figure the zip tie won't last long. I was going to order some new ones but the paracord idea I didn't think of.

I put a short length of garden hose wrapped in a little tape for where the cord hits the metal. Found a demonstration on YouTube for the Cobra Braid.
