New exhaust manifold installed

It's like having a new Jeep!!! The factory one was cracked when I got it and just now got around to getting it swapped out. Bought the one from AM-Autoparts and couldn't be happier.

man that's pretty inexpensive at AM Auto. How'd the install go and what do you think of the quality?

Maybe you should do a step by step

I had found the AM Auto one suggested on another site, figured with free shipping and good reviews from others I would try them. Ordered and it showed up two days later. Not bad. I used a step by step I found on another forum to follow. Not sure if I can post a link but it was very detailed.

The quality of the manifold itself seemed to be good. Felt heavy duty enough to last and all the welds looked really nice. Only time will tell now how good a choice it was.

They have two different ones, $86.60 and $108.25. Not real clear on what the difference is, but the more expensive one is listed as their high quality one. I went with the more expensive one.

It took around 4-1/2 to 5 hours to do. Got lucky everything went smooth.

They list different manifolds for up to 99, then 2000-06. The later year one is $95. But the picture shows a V6 manifold (3 ports, not 6). Any idea what's up with that? Doesn't say if it's stainless either. Been throwing a bad cat code, so I've been looking to replace my manifold and 02 sensors and for 100 bones hell yes. Is there any difference in the 4.0l manifolds over the years? I'd just assume go with the 'high quality' one for $110

Messages with the link sent. On AM Autoparts I put in the vehicle details at the top and it came up with the two choices. That was the only bad side I found to their site was no contact number. You had to fill out an email form and they would get back to you. I went ahead with the 'high quality' one for my '97.

Derp. Brainfart on my part. Needed my morning caffeine...Yeah, with the dual manifolds and multi cat exhaust, the manifold the op posted won't work. The site does have a listing for the later design, but it doesn't specify if it is front or rear or both.

I still have to dig into mine to find out which one is leaking (hopefully not cracked...) And figure out if I need new cats or sensors. Would be nice to just replace the whole damn system from the head to muffler. Hate exhaust work ugh.
