new headers help

MY names kyle im new to the site im taking my old cracked hearders off soon and im looking for some help at what i may need to look out for.

spray the bolts down every day for a week prior with some PB blaster. it'll help keep from sanpping one of em off.....

also, probably most write-ups you'll find on the subject...or a haynes manual, might tell you to take off the intake manifold, fuel lines, etc. none of that is necessary. once you get all the bolts off, you can just move the intake and everything to the side enough to get the exhaust manifold out.

when i replaced mine on my 4 banger, the replacement manifold skirts were too thick to clear the intake manifold (where it lays over it.) i had to grind them down some. it was a PITA, mainly b/c i ttook me forever to figure out WTF the problem was......
