New Hella 500 Black Magics, how to wire to existing fog lights?

I bought a 2006 Golden Eagle recently and it is missing one of the factory fog lights. I purchased a pair of Hella Black Magics to take their place. I was told since they are 55w that I can use existing wiring. Anyone done this before and care to tell me the best way to hook them up? Do I just cut the old wires and splice them together? Thanks in advance for the help.

That would be the easiest method. That way you could use the OEM dash switch as well.

Your pushing it using the old wires as the power. Install the relay (should've have come with the lights) and use the battery for the power then wire the switch to the relay to control on and off. Works the same way as the old lights but uses power directly from the battery, much more safe. I know you'd hate to melt everything and then try to replace it after. Relay and wires are very easy to install.
