new here, lighting question...

Hey guys just thought i'd introduce myself before i ask my question. My name is Jon and I just bought a black 99 wrangler se and i love it. It's pretty much stock right now, but i've only had it for a week and i'm already upgrading it. I just installed some hella 500's and i have a question for all of you who have installed auxilliary lights on your jeep. The installation went smoothly and i have working lights but i was wondering what you guys do to keep all of the loose wires together. I put electrical tape around some parts to keep the wires from dangling but i was thinking that some plastic wire cover tubing would be the way to go. What do you guys think?

Black plastic wire loom is great stuff, I use it whenever I can. That or nylon zip-ties though they don't look as cool.

Hopefully your Hella wiring uses a relay to control the lights and not just a simple switch which would eventually burn out. And welcome to the forum!

Welcome! x3 on the black wire loom. I usually use black zip ties around the loom to keep everything nice and together.

Thanks guys! I went out and got 15 feet of black wire loom today and it was just enough to cover all the wiring. I'm pretty happy with it, it looks nice and neat with the wires all contained in the loom instead of just hanging everywhere and im hoping it'll provide a little protection for the wires that run under the fender from mud, water, and other debris.

All in all I love the 500's, they produce a ton of light and they look great. By the way they do run off a relay, and i live in southern NH just outside of Concord.
