New Jeep Owner, lift/gear questions

Hi, I am new to the forum and a recent born again Jeep Owner. My wife let me get another, fun vehicle, and I got a Jeep. I bought a 99 Sport with 5 speed and 102k for $4500. It came lifted and I have some questions. Hopefully the pics will post below, but I think it has a 4" body lift. Not sure about the suspension lift. It has 35" mud tires, and 5th gear is useless. From the pics, can anyone tell me if I am correct about the lift, and is it worth changing the rear end to generate more torque in the rear wheels? Thx in advance for any replies.

Get rid of that body lift ASAP. 1" to 1 1/4" should be the limit. Cant tell from pics about the coils. If you are going to run 35's you should re-gear to 4:56.

You want 4.88 gears. Looks like a 3" body lift. Unsure of suspension lift.

Downsize the body lift ASAP. And run 456-488 depending how much off roading u will do.

It is a 6cyl. Why the recommendations to decrease the body lift? I don't do much off-roading, just a lot of driving around town with the too off and hauling around my road bike and race gear.

Body lifts that tall raise the COG on the jeep considerably. Even if you are driving it on the streets only if affect the drivability. That tall of a lift increases body roll on the street and off road. Not to mention that large of a gap looks as bad as it handles. I am sure most guys and gals here feel the same it is just a recommendation.

If you're doing most of your driving around town and hauling some light loads, I'd recommend 4.88s. They won't leave you wanting for power at all. Not that 4.56 would be too sluggish.
