new jeep owner.need good advice re: lift

I just bought an 04 wranger.. and I need advice on a lift kit.. I checked out the lift kid devoted string, but want additional advice.

Its an 04 wrangler V4..
1) can I tow my 650 lb harley?
2) i want to get a lift kit.. looking on ebay (have to admit I don't know too much about these, why I'm asking), there are all kinds of kits... basically, I won't be trying to climb boulders and mountains, maybe just a trail or two.
I want to know what you guys think about what lift kit I should purchase.. here is what I'm thinking:
i want a quality kit for what Im gonna use it for.. no big offroading, I live in la, so mostly freeway, but want to go on trail when I head to bigbear on vaca and such. nothing too big.. I was thinking 4 to more inch lift which won't hinder ride quality too much on paved rodes. (which is where i'll be driving most). also which won't decline my mpg too much.. I know they are negatively corellated, so I want a good middle ground. also, something that is not designed for like.. rock climbing, and more for simple trails...

I've seen that bigger lifts(tires) reduce mpg, etc.. but i want a good middle of the road which will allow me to hit some basic trails, but still remain decent ride quality, and are a good price.

Let me know what you think.. I value your input as you are the pro's..

Sorry.. forgot some info.. also, when I get the lift... what tires are best for waht i'm seeking.. ie.. mostly paved road.. but also can do a simply trail or 2?

Lift size: Rubicon express 3.5 does a nice job. any time you get close to 4" even if you drop the tranny skid, you may still need a SYE conversion on the t-case, each jeep is a bit different. As for tires lots of Good AT tires out there, Bridge stone dueler is nice, BFG AT's,

I would look for a 3 inch lift. Once you go 4 inches you have to change a lot of extra parts to make it run correctly. IF you wanted more than three inches add a 1 inch body lift and you could easily run 33" tires.

i'll look up the rubicon express 3.5. so it sounds like 4 " and up is not for what I want (ie.. mostly la traffic and a once in awhile trail in the mountains). any specific manufacturers? what have you found to be finanically, applicably useful?
SB551 - i dont want to change add'l parts. what is a body lift? (forgive me = newb)

How much do you want to spend? You can buy on a 2" coil spacer lift and a 1" body lift for not much money, vs a complete lift kit. Spacer lift is a spacer that go's on top of the coil. body lift, lifts the body up with long body mounts.

I guess I should b more specific.. reminder: i'm a newb at jeeps.. heres what I bought:

rubicon express seems a bit expensive:

what is good for mostly paved road? some trails? are the offers above cheap quality?
