New Lift and Tires Installed (pics)

Well I've been talking about it for months but I finally did it. My jeep just got the lift kit and tires installed today. Now I can run with the big(ger) boys!

What went on:
Rough Country 2.5" coil liftkit with shocks
Rough Country 1.25" body lift
Rough Country Steering Stabilizer
Sway bar quick disconnects
Rear track bar drop bracket
33x12.50x15 Goodyear Duratracs

Before:

After:

I think it look great and that everything is in proportion. The milk jugs are coming off as soon as I get home.

If you build your jeep so big and bad that it's really easy to get threw everything out there, then your going to get bored.

Thanks! I've only driven on them a few miles but so far they've been great. There is only a slight hum compared to my Firestone Destination A/T, the duratracs looks a lot meaner in person, and I got a great deal on discount tire. They were in my garage the second day after i ordered them.

I'll take another pic tomorrow. Question. Is it normal for there to be some slight vibes during heavy acceleration? I have a tcase drop installed that was supposed to prevent that. Maybe its just my imagination.

Did you align it?

You'll love the Duratracs. Did you join treadlightly to get the rebate?

Yes I got it aligned. It only happens when I really get on it (ex. Highway on ramp). It's not too bad but I might take it back and see if anything is amiss. It's crazy what lighting can do isn't it? The duratracs are great so far! Next on my list is a new speedo gear and bumper/tirecarrier. My speedo is 10mph off at 60mph lol. Then I'm thinking next fall ill regear to 4.11 or 4.56. I'm a teen making around $600 a month so in six months I should have atleast another $2000 ready to go into the regear. Oh the addiction....

Edit: This is the best pic I could do from the front tonight. I'll get a better one tomorrow also here is a before pic from the side.

The wheels are 15x8 Granite Alloy GA's. They came on the jeep when I bought it but I like then a lot. I haven't calculated it all yet but it was about $2000 or just under that. It would have been cheaper to do it myself but I don't have the tools or the know how. I definitely took a mpg and power loss so I am going to regear as soon as I have the money.

I feel like it rides better than stock because of the new shocks and coils. It does however tend to wander a bit more but its not too bad. I'm also getting what I think is driveline vibes so I have to get that checked out. How much is a complete regear? $1200?

All depends on where you take it but your in the neighborhood with that guess. Might want to consider locker(s) while regearing to save on future labor costs.

How does that new lift ride? I am thinking about that same setup but want to know how much different it rides versus stock.

It actually rides pretty good. It wanders more than stock because of the tires but rough spots in the road are less jarring. The only "offroading" I've done is my friends long, steep, driveway with lots of mud and snow melt. Sadly there aren't too many places around here to go that isn't private property. One issue I found today was that I no longer have 4lo. Also I'm getting drive line vibes when its under heavy acceleration or I'm keeping speed up a hill. So it looks like I'm going to pay the place a visit this week.

What's your tire pressure? Right around 28 psi is really pretty good for C load Duratracs.

It came from the tire place at 35 so I dropped it to 30. The mud didn't come off evenly today so ill probably drop it down to 28.

I don't understand why they do that.... It irritates me greatly. You may find that dropping the psi helps with the wandering. That's why I mentioned it. You'll love your Duratracs
