New mirrors or relocation brackets????

Any advice?? I have a 2005 Unlimited and take the doors off in the summer for the beach and would like to either move the factory mirrors or get new ones. Anyone know the best and cheapest way to do it?? Don't have a lot of extra cash to do to much.....Thanks

Smile mirrors

You can buy new mounts to go on windshield mounts and use stock mirrors off of the doors. Set I bought was $35 in black I think.

I have the brackets. They work fine when your doors are off. Once you put the door on it will swing out and hit the mirror if you don't limit the arc. The passenger side mirror is hard to use if you don't sit far back in the seat. It can be done though. I will probably switch mine to another style that utilizes the hinge mount and that is quicker to switch out. Just remember you don't have to have the passenger side mirror in most states.

I too had the money issue, I went to Advanced and bought a truck mirror, it's a little bigger than a YJ one. I scuffed it up and put a coat of Krylon on it (it was chrome). It bolts from the bottom and worked perfect to bolt on through my door hinge hole. I don't know what the laws are where your at, but in VA you need 2 mirrors, this CAN include your interior rear view. Total cost: about $20, plus the factory mirrors stay on the doors, just use the new one for when the doors are off. Just a suggestion

CJ2WRANGLER - Do you have any pictures of your mirrors mounted on your Jeep....I'm curious? Sounds like an inexpensive way of staying legal with the doors off....if that's legal in your state.
