New owner, but need guidance

HI EVERYONE! I just got my first Wrangler (an '05) in November and I love it!
I just found out, though, that my overdrive shut off switch is not working and I am planning a drive/move from CT to AZ in the next month or so and was hoping to tow some of my stuff.
Can anyone guide me to how I can fix this on my own? It isn't covered under the extended warranty I got with the Jeep and I can't dig into the funds I have to move.
Thanks and I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing group!

UPDATE: I'm going to get a new switch to replace the one on the dash. We're hoping that will fix the issue.
