New poster w/ 98 Wrangler ?'s

Sup all, new to the forums.

I have a 98 Wrangler 4 Cylinder. Some of the major issues I'm experiencing right now is the dash display (speedometer, RPM, etc) keeps losing power, I've heard this is a common issue and usually goes away with a swift whack of the dashboard. Was just wondering if there is a permanent fix to this because I'm whacking the dash 2-3 times in a 20 minute drive to work.

Also, not much of a problem now but need to fix the A/C before next summer. The symptoms it shows is it will work for awhile then it doesn't cool, just blows air. If I let it rest for 5-10 minutes it usually comes back on and works a bit longer, almost as if it is overheating.

Also, the jeep has just hit 100k mile mark, really hasn't seen much maintenance to this point so what would be a good list of checks and upgrades. Thanks!

You will probably want to pull your instrument cluster and clean and put dielectric grease on the pins for the connectors. This seems to be a common problem. How do you know maintenance is an issue? Change all your fluids, check alignment, maybe new plugs and wires, ect. I don't know much about AC as my heep doesn't have it. (unless you count never having a top on)
