New Radio Installation question

The old antenna doesn't fit into the new sony deck I bought. Is there an adapter I need to get?

Thanks

That's really unusual, all the car radio antenna plugs and jacks I've seen over many years have always been the same. Can you post a pic of the jack on the radio and the antenna cable plug?

What Jerry said. I have never seen anything but the same old antenna plug that they have been using since the dawn of time.

Maybe, there are lots of funny-looking jacks on the backs of modern radios now. Let's hope you get lucky and find it still has a standard size antenna jack hidden somewhere on the rear.

No. My 04 has the new antenna plug at the radio not the plugs from the old days.

My Kenwood from Crutchfield came with an adapter in the installation kit. You may find the adapter you need there.

Antenna Adapter

This may be what you need but I would call them.

You need an antenna adapter, should cost about 10 dollars at any aftermarket stereo shop. I think Walmart even carries them.

There are also adapters for the new speakers so you won't have to cut off your stock speaker connectors.
