new shifter knob

Got tired of looking at my stock shifter knob and didn't wanna just go hit up walmart for an aftermarket shifter knob so i decided to make one out of an actual pool ball. Might get 0 responses on here but im pretty proud of myself and surprised i did everything right the first time

Beats spending money. Looks good and original. How long did it take you to do it?

Aside from finding an 8 ball it only took about an hour. My grandfather owns a big body shop so drilling and threading was no issue

Sweet, nice job too. It's always great when someone shows something they made and installed vs. someone who shows something they bought and installed. Nice!

Looks like you did a good job. I have one too, but I just ordered one. I don't have the skills to make something like that.

Looks great! What kind of insert did you use?

My kids are getting me a cue ball with the Bama logo on it for Father's Day and I plan on turning it into a shifter knob.

I found one at walmart that's stainless steal or something and it had 6 .44 or .357 magnum shells set up like they're in the chamber.

Hmm... you have a crimson Jeep!

My bad, from your pic it looks like you have an insert but it's just the threads in the middle of the "8".

This may sound completely stupid... but how hard is it to take off the existing shifter knob? I'm assuming it just unscrews, but I've tried to do mine manually before and it's on tighter than *insert sarcastic innuendo here*

Looks good!

Ha its a little harder than u think. The shifting pattern on the knob pops off (most difficult part for me...ended up tearing the stock knob up). Underneath the gear pattern is a bolt that needs to be umscrewed then the actual knob will unscrew
