New soft top and upper door frame question

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to replace my soft top with a pavement ends replay top. I know this top isn't as good as a bestop replace a top but I only drive my wrangler 1-2 times a week so do you think it will hold up reasonably well or is the quality really horrendous?

Also, I have bestop soft upper sliders that leak and the fabric is at the end of it's life. I want to replace the sliders with zippered windows but I want to know if I can use the frame from the sliders or if I need to buy new frames.

Thanks for the help

Here are some interior and exterior pics of the uppers. Also, does anyone know if Smittybilt tops are better than pavement ends?

From why I see they should work. Depends on the frame under the skin.

Yea, I'm thinking I'll go ahead and cut one of the old skins off and if it doesn't work I guess I'll just have to order new frames. Is there any specific frame that may be better than the others?

You have to cut them? If you have to cut them I really doubt that they are reusable.

He has to cut the fabric off.

I have a Pavement Ends top. I recently stored it after 7 months of use in Florida, but it appears to be of decent quality.

That's surprising to me. Stupid design IMO if you must cut them. I have no idea I always had had soft upper zipper windows.

If you want to replace your OEM soft uppers you have to cut them off the frame. The replacements attach with Velcro.

I was under the impression that these were aftermarket sliding soft uppers not oem soft uppers.

These are aftermarket soft uppers. The problem is that when you buy them you have to buy the sliders with the frame and all, you can't just buy the fabric and windows. All of the locks on the windows no longer work and the fabric is shot so I just want to go with zippered windows now, I just don't want to buy the frames if I don't need to.
