Changed ours on Sunday, 97, 137000, and was original.
Whoa boy did it make a difference. Used a Moog H/D. Before your could spin the wheel like there was nothing connected. Now you can feel it when you turn the wheel.

No lift/jack/stands needed. Easy access. The pin can be a MAJOR PITA.
I've been a tech for over 30 years, doing a lot of front end work. Usually a couple of sharp raps on the drag link with a hammer will pop joints loose.
Not ours. It laughed at smacking the bar, using a pitman arm remover, a pickle fork, and a lot of not so nice words. Finally took a mapp torch and heated up the pin. POP, it jumped out on it's own.
The old shock would collapse under it's own weight when stood up right.
