New Stereo and Exhaust feedback

VDP vs. Kicker sub woofer set up, both from Quadratec. I know kicker has a good name, but what about VDP? Also, new exhaust has been narrowed down to Banks or Borla, or.....any other suggesetions. Thanks

So your updating your stereo system and your exhaust? If I were you I'd decide which one your really want to hear and go in that direction. If you drop the top and strap on a Borla exhaust, I highly doubt that you will be happy with any stereo setup that you have.

i say if you go with a stereo you should just go all out now and get everything all around the same time. start with a headunit(anything but sony) that has a sub output rather than just a rear output. then you should look into speakers. from there if you want bass get a sub and amp, not one of the "powered sub" setups.

as for an exhaust i run a banks monster cat-back in my 4 banger and it performs well. gained some better gas millage and a little more power, and has a nice deep tone to it.

If you want a solid system and don't want it to be obvious to robbers, keep the stock head unit. You can buy adapters for anything. I bought four polk speakers, they sounded great without a sub. I picked up a 10 inch fosgate and the matching fosgate amp, the adapter for the headunit and now it sounds/looks normal. I put the original speaker covers over the roll bar speakers as well.
