New TJ

Well I had another post about this, but didn't have pics. I just got a 2003 rubi, and it has a lift, just not sure what kind, how much etc... so when I test dove it, I took some pics...so let me know what I have and sorry for being a noob, I just don't know that much about Jeeps. To me it looks like 2 inch spacers in the front, and a 2 in body lift, but again, I'm not too familiar with Jeeps. Thanks for your help guys (and gals)

yeap...2" coil spacers, and stock shocks. definitely a body lift. hard to tell if it is 1" or 2" without seeing the whole puck or a far away shot.
what size tires is it running? looks like 33s from this pic

also looks like that big bumper was made tall to cover some of the BL. from that i would guess 2". just measure one of the pucks and that will be your answer.

nice lookin Xterra, but good choice on the TJ.

yea it has 33's on it (285's). Ok, perfect, that helps me out in deciding what I need to get next. Pics coming when I get it, and LET THE MOD BUG START BITING!!! Oh, will the 33's fit on the tire carrier????

they will fit with an adapter, but i wouldn't suggest it. the weight will wear the hinges on the tailgate to a point where it will sag and will not like to shut.

look to a new body mounted tire carrier or bumper/carrier combo.

where can I get just a tire carrier with this set up (preferably cheap in price), the ones that I have seen are integrated into the bumper

I would politely disagree. The adapter is good for 33" but nothing bigger. I've been running one now for over 1 year and I have really stressed the Jeep offroading. I have not experienced any deflection of the hinges. I am running a 10.5" tire so it will weigh slightly less than a 12.5" tire.

I bought mine from Qaudratec for some thing like $50.

Yes, that was it. I will say, I had t futz around with it and drill a couple of holes to make it fit better (for my application).

The size of the coil spacers looks the same as the size of the bl pucks.. take out the ruler and measure it out.

One area to check on the stock tire carrier with a larger tire is the thin metal framing of the the carrier itself. Mine lasted about 1 year with a 33 TSL on it. The hinges where fine however.
