2000 is a great year model in my opinion. My daughter and I both have 2000 Sport models (hers is yellow with the 5-speed and mine is silver with the automatic. Both have 164k miles and still going strong!
Price was 7000 by the way with 1 set of factory wheels and tires with 75% tread and 1 set if wheels that were BFG long trails brand new for daily driving. Included soft top, car cover, box of new bushings he didn't have time to put in, and lock security box. Mileage on body is 140000 engine is 70000.
Looks nice. Not a factory color that year though. It's been painted I'd look hard for wreck damage. Just a suspicion I would look around. not like much can be done with seller but you may find something you want fixed. On the plus side they just might love bright green.
No wrecks on the body. They guy who sold it to me painted it. I had worked with the guy when it was the original red color, it was faded and looked rough plus there were bumps and scratches from trail rides. Also his wife just really liked green.
I suspect that this one has had a new head put on it. Is the heads put on also prone to this or did they fix this problem? Also what can I do to prevent this in the future?
I really don't think it is I have drove 200 miles (25 of which were on light trails) on it already since Friday it's great. It's not my daily driver, it's more for fun. So far it has served its purpose.
