Hey guys. Found what I think is a decent deal for 5 Rubicon rims with newer Cooper Discoverer tires. Got them installed today and took them for a test drive. They track nicely and seem quite solid. I'm running 30 psi but it does seem a little stiff. Might try airing down to 25 psi.
Anybody with any thoughts or experience with these tires?

which weight rating on the tire do you have? it looks like they have a couple of options, if it is the E 10/ply you may always have a stiff ride even aired down a bit, it also looks like there is quite weight difference to the tires depending on which one you have 38lbs-48lbs.

The stiffness issue is that p-metric tires in 16" are load rated "E" which have a much stiffer sidewall than load rate "C" which are normally used on Jeeps. You're kind of stuck with that load rating as long as you run 16" wheels. I wouldn't run a 31x10.5 tire (which is basically what you have) at 25 psi on the highway. That would be a little under inflated, and heat is generated by tires that are under inflated at speed. I would keep your tires in the 28-30 range.

I'm changing out my 16" rims back to 15" later this month after living with the same problem for the past 4 years.
