Definitely lift it. LJs look goofy until they're lifted, then they're badass. $650 probably isn't going to cut it for a 4" lift, unless you can split it up between a small spring lift and a small body lift. Typically, a 4" spring lift requires you to also address the driveshaft in the rear by way of a SYE and CV driveshaft. Some Jeeps can get by with a 4" spring lift and a transfer case lowering kit, but you're defeating the purpose there. Do it right and do it once. Use the SEARCH function and you'll find all kinds of modifications here on the board that will help you out.
