new to the jeeps

Hey gear heads. I just bought my first jeep ever. Ill add pictures soon. It is a 2003 Rubicon. I already love it but I noticed a few things with it that I don't quite understand and would like some info before I start buying parts. Apparently the previous owner removed the front sway bar completely from the vehicle so it rides like crap going down the road. What are the differences between years on this part? Like can I get a swaybar from a '98 TJ and expect it to fit? I don't want to lift it just yet due to the driving I do. Gas is expensive. And I don't plan on doing any rock climbing in it. Just a little light offroading until I get the money for the good upgrades. I say that because I know a lot of these parts will come with a nice 4"lift kit. And another question I have is if the axle u-joints on the front end are getting worn out should I replace the assembly or just the joint itself? I know I have the D44 axles. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Nice find! The sway bars should all be the same, id go with an aftermarket as used parts break easier.. Quadratec.com has everything. Use coupon code SarahaTango for free shipping!
