I suppose I am one of the few guys who thinks that a soft top down and having full doors looks goofy. I prefer half doors with soft top and full doors only with hard top. And mine have been great.. no rattles, no leaks, and in contrast to my back windows.. are not foggy at all.

And I support finding the right rear end and gearing to make you happy. I found mine for $5000 but had to setlle for Dana 35 and 3.07 gears....when I go much bigger than 31" tires I am going to have to drop some serious cash in diffs.

For a guy who's using this vehicle 95% of the time as a Daily Driver, without towing will I notice the Dana 44? Going off road is ok without it right?

(on a side note I'm planning on towing next summer. It will be a small trailer with a lawn mower, some trash cans, and a weed whip. This will obviously be under 2,000 pounds.

D35 prob be just fine. It's just one of those things that is easier to get now than later if you have the opportunity.

x2 on looking for one with the dana 44 i kick myself every time I see that d35 on the back of my rig.....

also the 2nd one you posted the guy wrote that it had a v6 so unless he swapped out the engine then he still has a I6.... if he didnt then that might show he doesent have a clue about his jeep and didnt really do maintenance on it if he never opened the hood!

I have a question about the hard top. I hate things that are shakey or loose. If a cup is shaking in the car, it drives me crazy. I think I'll be the hard top or no top. If its going to rain outside, do I have to run out and get the hard top up? Will the rain hurt the interior electronics or anything?
Yeah, somebody said to stick to your guns, you will appreciate the hardtop in the winter, and a soft top of some kind is a MUCH cheaper upgrade! As has been said before, take your time, get what you want, don't settle, or you will spend all your time wishing you had gotten this or that!
