Unhappy New trans?

Hey guys,
I have an 04 TJ Sport 5 speed. I searched a few weeks ago on problems with trannys slipping out of 5th gear. I found very few...most were slipping out of every gear BUT 5th. Anyway, my Tj has a little less than 80k miles...which is why this drives me nuts but either way I think I'm looking at a new tranny or at least a rebuild. Most people around here have said it's the syncro for 5th gear. I thought at first it might be the clutch so I had a new one put in...well afterwards there was a lot of noise when the clutch wasn't pushed in and some thought I might have gotten a bad one so I again had the tranny pulled out and another clutch put in which reduced the noise but did not solve the popping out of gear issue. I have spent around $400 so far, just on labor alone. I hate not being able to drive my jeep unless I'm driving around town somewhere. Otherwise driving down the interstate I am constantly holding the shifter into 5th...which is tiring. When it pops out it pops out violently...almost to the point it scares the hell out of you when it does.
My question is what would you guys suggest I do with this issue? Get a new transmission or get a rebuild kit? If so, where is the best place to get these parts? Thanks in advance for any help....summer is coming up and I don't want to have to leave the jeep at home if I go out of town. Makes me sad. Funny how even after all the $ I have put into my jeep I still wouldn't take anything for it....

If it were me, I would find a used low mile manual transmission at a salvage and have it installed. Probably cheaper than having it rebuilt and most likely get just as many miles from it. Now I am new to WF and someone else may have a better solution.
