I had been thinking for the last year what I wanted to do with my Jeep for a new top. I had a Best Top sail cloth on it with factory hardware when I purchased it and I was unsure of the age but was a little worn out in the corners. The corners would not stay in the belt rail on the tub and the zippers were a little hard to get the windows all the way. Part of me wanted a hardtop since I live in Montana but I don't have a good place to store it in the summer time and the more I looked on line the more I liked the Trektop NX.
Total time for me to install the top was right at 2 hours, it helps that I already had a soft top so the tail gate brackets were already drilled and it was just a matter of switching out the brackets. Over all the install was pretty easy and the instructions were pretty straight forward. It was only around 65 out today but lots of sun which helped with the process.
I will say that it was very difficult to get the side windows and back windows in and then to get the bottoms into the belt rail on the tub. With a little work it went on and I think it looks great compared to the top I had before. I have no complaints about this top at all and would differently recommend it to anyone looking for a new top. I have never installed a top before and would have no problems doing one again when the time comes or if I get a newer Jeep.
Here are some before and after pictures.
