New wheels and tires?

I'm looking to get new wheels and tires for my '06 Wrangler but I have no idea about backspacing, wheel sizes, etc. I know I was 31" BFG all terrains and black Cragar wheels. As far as how wide of wheels I need I'm lost. If anyone could help, that would be great.

Thanks

I would do an 8" wide wheel with 3.75" backspacing. 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. ALUMINUM! I hate steel wheels.

BS depends on how far out you want them to stick out.

I too would recommend 8'' wide aluminum wheel.

I'm just trying to make my Jeep look sick. Hell, just kidding it already looks sick, it's a Jeep after all. But I don't want them to stick out too, too far. I just didn't know if there was a real issue with rubbing and stuff like that. If I got the 8" would I need spacers?

Not sure you'll find Cragars with much more than 4.5" BS...

The ones I'm looking at have a 4.00 BS. Is that bad?

It will move them out about 1-1.5" from stock, depending on which stockers you have. No spacers needed. If you are putting on 31x10.5's they shouldn't stick out too far, just measure where you sit now, and add on an inch and a half. You shouldn't have any rubbing issues.

wheels stick out

I have 31x10.5r15's with 4.75 inches of back space with no rubbing. I have a small lift .75 rear 1.75 front (front sagged a bit). I tried 4.00 backspace but felt it stuck out to far and was to close to the flares so I went with the 4.75's to tuck the tire back under. Hope that helps. PM me if you would like before and after pics with/without lift and different wheel spacing. If you like Cragars check out Black Rocks.

I think a "sick" look would be with 4 inch BS on 31x11.5r15's with a 2.5 inch BB lift. The extra lift would keep the flares from rubbing while flexing.
