I heard that (no pun intended). We took my wife's equinox out of town yesterday and it was almost too quiet of a ride.

The JK's are also growing on me. At first I must admit I did not like them at all. However, the aftermarket parts are making their way onto the newer platforms and they are appealing. Don't care for the stock fender flares at all but that is a minor detail.

I'm optimistic some day I will move into a JK down the road....5-7 years. It took me 20 years to move from a CJ to a TJ and I must say (no disrespect to the CJ owners) but I really like the improvements.

For now, I'm sticking to the TJ.

Well, I like my JK. Never had a TJ, Liked my CJ I had 20+ years ago. Never did get use to the rectangular head lamps on the YJ. Although my J10 had them, come to think of it. I think I liked the M151 Uncle Sam let me drive. Ya, I vote for that over the M37 3/4 ton Dodge, or the "new" 5/4 Jeeps that replaced that. Just my .02 cents.

The TJ has more metal in it than the JK. You can push the metal in with your finger on the JK. And the plastic grill on the JK is an insult to the Jeep's toughness. I hear that the JK is still very capable off road, but I would like to see some more metal thrown back into the body. My TJ's have been tested over the years. Hail storms, hit by a Direct TV van, and last but not least - I was hit by a drunk driver twice in less than 30 seconds and forced into a Cingular Wireless sign at 45 miles an hour. The TJ's held up well and were back on the road in less than a week. Pretty tough vehicles!

I am NOT a fan of the JK 4door look. The 2door JK's are okay to me, but I'd much rather have the TJ because of the I6 4.0.... That engine is tried and true to me, and they're damned near indestructible. It's not that I don't trust the JK engine. It's that it has not been time-tested and proven.

Plastic grille? Oh man, I never knew that.

The JK 4dr is a pretty awesome looking rig. I think they hit the mark with the 4-dr styling. I do like the TJ better when it comes to a 2-dr.

Bottomline though is every model I pass I enjoy checking out!
