If you add a 1" or 1.25" body lift (do not go higher) you'll be well set up to handle 33" tires both on and off road and shouldn't have much in the way of rubbing . . . and it won't break the bank. Be sure to get it off the pavement from time to time . . . it's a Jeep!
If your not going to leave the road that much just add a 1inch body lift and you should be fine. Even though body lifts suck. You won't be able to notice a 1 inch that bad and it will give your tires a little more room to move. Then just drive it and enjoy.
ok, hmm so would a 2 in body lift look bad! i parked next to this guy at my school, and his made mine look like a girls jeep, his window started like 3.5-5.5" higher than mine!!

Unless I am mistaken, it is a girls Jeep. Like posted above, take it out a couple of times the way it is. You will be suprised how well it does in the current condition. If you are just looking for a cool vehicle to drive around in, take the top off it. Girls in Jeeps get a ton of attention. Oh, and don't forget to wave. :wavey:
You can run either a 1" or 1.25" they will look the same. They will work the same and give you room for adding armor when you decide to start wheeling it!
First of all, welcome aboard to the best Jeep Wrangler forum on the net!
Take your time and don't rush into anything. Lift kits can be expensive, especially if you have to pay to have them installed.
Wheel your Jeep for awhile and get the feel for it, and enjoy, there's nothing like a Jeep!!
Post some pics of your Jeep when you get a chance.
i would rather not have my father drill on my jeep parts unless her dad is better than mine, plus getting the geometry closer to stock the better, right?
with a 1.25 BL, everyone states, drilling a hole to remount the radiator so the shroud can fit or something, id just get the MML and not worry about it.
you have to move the radiator shroud either way, idk if it was drilling or buying a mount for the radiator, either way there more then JUST the BL.
I have seen one that didn't require anything. To drill 2 holes is much cheaper then a mml kit. The best thing to do is install it if it rubs it rubs. You fix the rub, figure out first before you toss another 100 bucks into it. I am trying to save you money so you can upgrade more
If you still want to run 33 i would replace the whole lift kit that you have and put a new 4" in. it will save you alot of time and a magor headache down the road. i had to help a buddy with his and we finnaly got it done last night had almost the same problem. it might be alot but it will be worth it down the road. and don't put a body lift in, i have one yes theirs alittle bit of differance but unless your going to tuck your tranny, T-case, and gas tank their not worth it. thats what i plan on doing is tuck every thing I have a one inch and I still going to have to cut floor pannels.
