Newbie here - question about soft top colors

I picked up a 97 TJ in desperate need of a new soft top. I ended up with a spice top and interior (not too pretty). Can I get away with a black top with some black seat covers? Anyone out there with this setup? Pics?
Thanks

I have seen several jeeps with spice. Some look bad, some look good. What color is your jeep?

Also, since we are discussing top colors, has anyone seen jeeps with hard tops painted to match the jeep. I have seen it done with black but I was wondering if a silver jeep with a sillver hard top would look bad, or red with red, etc. I have never seen it but it wasn't until I got my Jeep in Feb. that I even really started paying attention to others.

I saw a white Jeep with a white top. Looked very...white. Might have looked better with some mud on it.

Sorry - it's dark blue

Roll bar pads are black but the rest of the interior is spice.

It is not a matter of "getting away with it". It is your Jeep...do it your way, that is the beauty of this, it is very personal.

That's what I was thinking. Who care's about what other people think of how something of yours matches, do what you like and what you think you would be happy with on your jeep. And I was also wondering about matching the hard top to the body of the Jeep? I think it would look good on a Sahara that has the color matched fender flares already installed, but who knows. Anyone have a pic of a wrangler with a color matched hard top that's not black?? thanks

Thanks for all the input. It looks like I'm going to stick with spice.

I seen a picture on yahoo of white on white and it is gross looking. I also seen grey on silver that matched really well and looked good, I will try to find the pictures.

Here are some pictures I found. I don't think it looks bad at all.

Looks like it coud be black, but it gives you an idea for silver.

A concept but it gives a basic idea
