Newbie needing some advice. Starting Problems!

I'm new to the forum, but through researching online saw that you guys would be the people to come to with any jeep related problems. I have an 05 Rubicon LJ with 85K miles, 4.0L, and an auto trans. Was driving it around all day over the weekend then after being parked for 30 minutes i jump back in it and it won't start.
I have since replaced the starter and battery both after Oreilly's told me both of them were bad. That didn't change anything. I can hear a click from the relay behind the glove box when i try to turn it over but that is it. I replaced that relay as well as the ASD and Starter relays under the hood. I have checked every wire, connection, fuse, etc on the jeep that i could find and still nothing has changed. When you try to crank it from the ingnition it is not sending current to the yellow wire attached to the S terminal on the starter. When i jump across the 30 and 87 terminals of the starter relay it will crank the motor but will not start, acts like it is not getting fuel (key was in the on position). I have tried moving the shifter around while trying to start it and that produced nothing..
I am planning to buy a new ignition switch this afternoon to try that, but i wanted to see if any of you may have any other suggestions? I'm stumped on this one... I have a hard time admitting defeat and taking my beloved jeep to a mechanic but am almost to that point if the ignition switch doesn't do it.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm no mechanic but maybe the alternator? I'm sure the more experienced guys will chime in soon.

Not a bad idea. I was just reading another thread with similar problems where the guy said it ended up being his alternator. May pull it off to test this evening as well. Knowing my luck so far they will tell me it is bad also, i'll replace it, and still have a dead jeep..

Well let's hope that that is all it is. I'm surprised no one else has responded, I mean if it's not your ignition switch and it's not your starter or battery the alternator would be my next check. I had one on my car that when I drove it to my parents house it was fine and as soon as I got ready to leave about an hour later it sparked and started makin all sorts of hellacious noise. And wouldn't u know it was on a Sunday night an had work on Monday. I'd pull it off n test it they can make some weird problems. Keep us posted keep ur chin up good luck!

Might hot help but my Lexus did this. Changed everything you did till I found out the switch on "Park" was broke and it did not let me turn the car on because it thought I was in gear.

When you jumped the 30 & 87 did you have the key on? With the key on it should start. If it cranks with the jumper then the alternator is not your immediate problem. A bad alternator may not be charging the battery but if you replaced the battery then the alt. is not really in play. Also check if the 86 relay slot is getting power when you turn the key to the start position. Then the 85 has to ground when in park (through the PCM). If no ground the neutral safety switch may be bad. You can check that with a meter.
