Newbie question

I have a 97 Jeep TJ with 32x11.5x15 tires on 10" American rims. Backspace is around 3.75 ". Has this been lifted? I bought it used, and was wanting to put different tires and wheels on it. The lift kits (2") that I was looking at will allow me to put these same 32x11.5 tires on it AFTER its lifted. There is no body lift on it, and there are no spacers on top of the springs.
I am confused. My goal is to replace the wheels with 15x8's, and tires 32 to 33'x 10.5.

Thanks in advance for the help.

It's hard to tell w/o a pic if its lifted or not.
But for what you said it might not be lifted.
2" bb and the new tires set up you want you will be all right. thats a better set up than the one you have .

yoo can fit up to 22's without lift, but thats only for road use, so the prior owner probably liked the look of bigger tires but never really went offroad. Therefore there was no need for him to waste money for a lift, if you have a '97 i would recommend not getting a BB, because your springs have definitly sagged and are not as high a quality as stock.

With a 2" BB you will be getting 2" above where you are right now, with a 2" spring lift wou will getting 2" above stock so it could be up to a 3" lift from what you have now, it will also give you a lot better ride than a BB

or you could do it this way
http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...rod=OME-SHOCKS
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16090_403.htm
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16004_100.htm

it would probably be better to call DPGoffroad, and have them send u all four OME shocks, b/c Q-tec sucks, and they also didnt have the front OME 2" coils!
